2017 Centropolitan Nominations

For sixteen years Centro San Antonio has honored the Best of Downtown – this year, the Centropolitan Awards will be a “super” extraordinary affair at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel, Thursday, September 21st from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

At this year’s celebration, Tom Frost Sr., Jim Hayne and David Strauss will receive Lifetime Achievement Award honors. The Centropolitan Awards will feature farm to table eats from Market on Houston and The San Antonio Cocktail Conference will unveil the 2017 Centropolitan signature cocktail.

FAQ

  • When do nominations close? Deadline to nominate September 4, 2017 at 5:00 P.M.
  • How many nominations may we submit? There is no limit to the number of nominations you may submit.
  • Can we nominate ourselves? Yes, you can nominate yourself and/or your business.
  • How much does it cost to nominate? The fee is $50 for Centro Alliance members and $75 for non-members.
  • When will tickets to attend the Centropolitans go on sale? Tickets and Tables go on sale August 15, 2017.

Nomination Criteria

To guide you in your nomination, think of people, places, and organizations that: 

  • Support the Centro San Antonio mission to be an advocate for downtown businesses and property owners, a catalyst for economic development in the inner core and a thought leader on important community issues. 
  • Have made a significant contribution to downtown during the past 12 months (August 2016 thru August 2017).
  • Display an entrepreneurial and community spirit that positively supports downtown.
  • Contribute to the vision of SA2020 and SATomorrow. 
  • Are adjacent to or within the boundary of the Greater Downtown Area (see map here).
