The Sofa Diaries is a movement of stories of women/girls who will create change through their impact on each other and the ripple effect that it does leave behind on their communities. A screening of the movie of “Dos Marias” of two prolific women, Maria Berriozabal and Rosie Castro, who changed the city of San Antonio. Photographs collected of the women/girls who sat on the Sofa will be stitched onto the Victoria Sofa. The faces of these women/girls will empower and dominate the Sofa, by removing the face of colonialism and Queen Victoria’s presence that controlled and dominated countries/continents worldwide.
