Peacock Alley
BETWEEN 110-118 BROADWAY
The alley is back in 2023, returning after welcoming over 25,000 activation attendees and earning over $2 million in media coverage in the past two years. Centro has selected (and will announce soon) hyper-local makers, artists, and dreamers who will activate the space from March until May.
The “Fat Tuesday Spring Series Kickoff,” a signature Peacock Alley Event, will inaugurate the 2023 series of activations in the now iconic space on Tuesday, February 21st. We welcome the community to attend all of Centro’s signature events:

Peacock Alley Initiative
Peacock Alley is the hottest new placemaking space in the State of Texas. Nestled between two historic buildings on Broadway in Downtown San Antonio, the space has been activated by hundreds of organizations, artists, entrepreneurs, and makers over the past 3 years as part of Centro’s placemaking efforts.
The space has attracted tens of thousands of visitors, millions in media coverage, and has been featured in hype footage from Greater SATX to HBO’s The Garcia’s. Centro’s Art Everywhere program has facilitated the addition of several large-scale works of art within the space, increasing the atmosphere and spontaneous activation throughout the day.
We invite you to be a part of the alley experience. Follow the page and Centro on social media for events, opportunities, and more!
2023 Spring Series
The Spring Series brings to life the dreams and aspirations of local artists, makers, and entrepreneurs who submitted their concepts in January this year. Centro has provided grant funds to these “Alley Rats,” to help them activate the space for the benefit of the entire San Antonio Community.
