VIA, the main public transport network in San Antonio, and VIVA, the system’s newest service line connects all the popular landmarks and attractions in the heart of the city, including the San Antonio Missions World Heritage Site, the Alamo, and surrounding neighborhoods like the Pearl, Downtown, Southtown, and the Broadway Cultural Corridor.

There are e-scooters and e-bikes conveniently located throughout El Centro. Jump on and jump off when you’re ready to get moving. As e-scooters and e-bikes have become increasingly popular, the City of San Antonio is committed to ensuring access to both innovative transportation options and safe sidewalks, pedestrian thoroughfares, and streets.

Street Car

Downtown trolleys, constructed like old-­fashioned streetcars but with rubber tires, are a fun and inexpensive way to explore the downtown area. The red, yellow, and blue trolley lines serve four routes and stop at all major downtown attractions. The fare of $1.10 is a bargain, and you can also purchase a monthly streetcar pass for $30 if you plan on becoming a regular urbanista.
