The Centro
Ambassadors
Centro Ambassadors are the smiling faces that welcome visitors and residents to downtown, working tirelessly to make everyone feel like part of the community.

You always have a friend downtown
The Centro Ambassadors are 95 strong, providing maintenance, “pan and broom,” landscaping, and hospitality services in downtown and along the River Walk.
MAINTAINING OUR SPACE
Since March 2020, Centro Ambassadors have increased power-washing potency with virus-killing bleach tablets to clean sidewalks, benches and bus stops, railings, crosswalk buttons, door handles, elevator cabs, scooters, and all other high-touch surfaces. We have also introduced Motorscrubber Storm Disinfecting Wands, an innovative new technology with 3D deep-cleaning, virus-killing capabilities. Check out some highlights of our impact in 2021 below:
HELPING THOSE IN NEED
Centro San Antonio has forged strategic partnerships with DHS, SARAH and Homeless Service Providers to meet clients’ most urgent needs such as food, personal hygiene, and shelter. Our 3 person outreach staff has participated in the planning process for San Antonio’s homeless strategic plan, slated to be implemented this year.
“At the end of the year we are successful in helping over a million AND A HALF people. ”
